The British Insurance Awards (BIA) take place on a night when the whole insurance community recognises the achievements made in the industry. Having once again branded the event, we were happy to attend as sponsors and to support our clients.

From the great venue and food to the overall vibe, the BIA routinely make for a brilliant evening and did not fail to disappoint this year either. Seeing our creative designs come to life and taking over such an amazing venue that is the Royal Albert Hall is always impressive and a pleasure. Furthermore, the Headliner theme complemented the black-tie and glamourous dress code of the event, putting the real focus on the attendees and their accomplishments.
Highlighting our on-going commitment to innovation, this year’s edition of the BIA saw us sponsor the Insurance Start-Up Award, won by Cuvva for their contemporary pay-as-you-go insurance concept. On a more philanthropic level, over £20,000 was raised on the night through donations and a silent auction for the Alzheimer’s Society. Our Executive Director Mark Huxley, contributed by bidding on a signed and framed Quadrophenia poster in the silent auction, which he won!

During the course of the evening, great comedy was provided by Ed Byrne and Rob Beckett along with Swifty who presented the awards in his usual witty way. The actual ceremony was rounded off by a great performance of former Spandau Ballet member Tony Hadley, who stayed true to the band’s repertoire and performed all the classics- pure gold!
For the brave who weren’t worried about it being a week night, the after-party was held at Mahiki where the cocktails were flowing and the revellers danced until the early hours.
