We have been undertaking a series of insight projects for clients over the last 4 months, the last of which will be at RIMS in Boston at the end of April. Central to the process has been the understanding of the pressures that are expected to impact on companies in the next few years – acceptance is suggesting that managing the ‘risks of today’ is very much part of the day-to-day workload, but the challenges of tomorrow are the difficult ones to predict, and where clients are looking for the greatest insight and support from the market to help them shape their decision making.
The evidence thus far is suggesting that, allowing for the obvious regional variations, we are seeing Cyber, Business Interruption and Environmental Change heading the list. It will be really enlightening to see if these remain key for those US risk managers attending RIMS.
