The agenda for the European Captive Forum presents the delegates with a truly global view of opportunities and challenges in the market and it will be interesting to see how the market is responding to economic, geographic and social changes – all of which will no doubt shape current and future demands and the way in which the market responds to risk and opportunity. The recent European Risk and Insurance Report from FERMA gave us some further insight into the world of Captives, so I’m sure that this will be on the agenda too as the leaders of the market make the bi-annual trip to the centre of Europe.
We are certainly seeing a greater level of investment in marketing and communications at this event, and more widely in the market as a whole. I am sure that the level of investment from those attending will be greater this year than in 2014, and the list of exhibitors continues to grow with Chubb leading the way as Platinum Sponsor and a strong showing from Gold Sponsors – AIG, Allianz, Aon, AXA, Marsh, XL Catlin and Zurich. Interesting to see technology heading the list too with Noria exhibiting.
Naturally, regulation and risk management is uppermost in the planned presentations – we have to understand the market space and how this shapes what is possible. Opportunities in other territories from the US to Asia are explored on both days, as well as the ongoing expansion into the Asian markets.
Lots to talk about, so see you in Luxembourg.
